Jason C. Berger, Associate

Experience

Mr. Berger concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, lender liability, construction dispute litigation, partnership and corporate shareholder disputes, as well as formation and dissolution of corporations and partnerships.
Mr. Berger represents local, regional, and national clients in various commercial settings including municipal, state and federal court litigation.

In addition, Mr. Berger provides legal services to entertainment clientele in contract and corporate matters. Jason's entertainment practice is primarily focused in the music and film/television industries. He has provided counsel and representation to artists, bands, songwriters, record companies, filmmakers, producers, and management in matters of industry practice, business law and contracts. Past engagements have included counseling clients on asset protection issues, business formation and management, negotiation and drafting of band member agreements, production, recording, and distribution agreements, agreements for personal appearances, engagements and tours, songwriter agreements, soundtrack agreements, mechanicals licensing and merchandising agreements.

Prior to joining Weir & Partners, Jason was a Law Clerk to the Honorable M. Allan Vogelson, P.J.Ch., in the Superior Court of New Jersey (2004-2005).


Professional Activities

Mr. Berger is certified in mediation in the State of New Jersey and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Jason was named a “Rising Star” in "Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers" for 2008, an honor awarded only to the top 2 ½ % of young lawyers in Pennsylvania, as published in Philadelphia Magazine.

Mr. Berger is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Districts of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
