Richard P. Coe, Jr., Partner

Experience

Mr. Coe concentrates his practice in the areas of construction, consumer and business law, and general civil litigation.

Since 1987, Mr. Coe has represented individuals, corporations, partnerships, public entities and community and condominium associations in a variety of matters, including construction contracts and disputes, consumer fraud litigation, business formation and dissolution, creditors’ rights, lender liability, negotiable instruments, employment contracts and disputes, real estate contracts and disputes, landlord/tenant law, legal malpractice and general litigation.

Mr. Coe’s construction experience includes the representation of contractors, individual homeowners, design professionals, developers, and condominium and community associations.

Professional Activities

Mr. Coe served two terms as a Member of Council in Monroe Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. His eight years of service included a term as President of Council, five years as Ordinance Committee Chair, and service as liaison to the Municipal Utilities Authority, Parks and Recreation Commission, Historical Society, Environmental Commission, Planning Board and Municipal Alliance Commission.

Mr. Coe has also served as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Great Egg Harbor National Scenic and Recreational River Council.

Mr. Coe was recently appointed as a Co-Chair for the Damages Sub-Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation, Construction Litigation Committee.

Mr. Coe is a member of the Philadelphia, Gloucester County, Camden County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations.

Education

Mr. Coe obtained his Bachelor's Degree, magna cum laude, in 1984 from Villanova University and his Juris Doctorate in 1987 from Villanova University School of Law. He was a member of the Villanova Law Review.
